Jean M. Quinn
KEYSER, WV – Jean Marie Quinn, 85, of ‘F' Street, Keyser, passed away on Friday, December 27, 2013 at her home with her family.
Born in Keyser on September 3, 1928, she was a daughter of the late John J. and Helen M. (Fleming) Dorsey.
She was also preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Francis Joseph Quinn on June 19, 2013 and three brothers, James, John and Don Dorsey.
Mrs. Quinn was a 1946 graduate of Keyser High School, a beautician and a 1947 graduate of West Virginia College of Beauty Culture, Martinsburg, WV. She was a member of the Church of the Assumption, Keyser and Assumption Ladies Guild.
Surviving are her daughters, Kathy Phillips and husband Patrick of Chesapeake, VA, Fran Cloud and husband Dave, of Middleway, WV, Marg Quinn and Ann Wellham both of Swanton, MD; grandchildren William Phillips, Sean Phillips and wife Sarah, Matthew Cloud and wife Jennifer, and Rebecca Cloud; five great grandchildren; her brothers, Robert E. "Bob" Dorsey of Keyser and William T. Dorsey of Elkview, WV; her sister, Helena "Sis" Barrick of Ft. Myers, FL and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Markwood Funeral Home, 111 S. Mineral St., Keyser on Monday, December 30, 2013 from 5 - 8 p.m. A Christian Wake service will be held at the funeral home, on Monday at 7:00 p.m.
Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at the Church of the Assumption, 34 James Street, Keyser, at 10:30 a.m. with Fr. William K. Matheny, Jr., as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Thomas Cemetery, Keyser.
