He was born May 23, 1924, in Sycamore, MO to George W and Minnie (Davis) Smith.
He married Norene Farmer on July 23, 1946, in Mountain Home, Arkansas.
He was president of Triangle Well Service, Ellis, until he retired. He was a veteran of WWII, 10th Armour Division in Europe. He was a lifetime member of the VFW and a member of the First Baptist Church.
Survivors include is wife, Norene, of the home; one son, Rick Smith, Buhler; one brother, Theodore Smith, Springfield, MO; three grandchildren, Tara Goans and her husband, Lonnie, Hutchinson, Mindy Smith and Brett Smith, both of Buhler; and one great-grandson, Colton Goans.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Vernie, Hershel and Doyle.
Services were Dec 17 at Wasinger Funeral Chapel with Sheryl Johnson officiating; burial in Mount Hope Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to Ellis United Methodist Church.
