She was the daughter of Louis and Martha (Buggs) Goede. Eleanore graduated from Janesville High School and married Addison James "Mike" Hanley on January 20, 1945 at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Janesville. He predeceased her in 1988. Eleanore was a very independent person, who at times could be very opinionated and feisty. She enjoyed family gatherings, tending to her flowers, and most important, was spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom she adored. She is survived by her two sons and their spouses; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, five sisters and one brother.
