The family will receive friends and family to honor her life on Saturday, December 28 at FAIRFAX MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 9902 Braddock Rd., Fairfax, VA 22032 with visitation at 9 a.m.; funeral service at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at Fairfax Memorial Park.

She was the loving wife for 68 years to the late Bob Thomas, a World War II veteran; and the mother of daughters, Dianne, Robin, Tina and sons, Billy, David and Dennis. She is the daughter of the late John Bleven Murrah, a World War I veteran, who is buried in Arlington National Cemetery and Lillie Belle Scoggin Murrah who is buried at Fairfax Memorial Park. She is the sister of Velma (her twin), John, Evelyn and Dorothy; grandmother of nine, great-grandmother of 11, great-great-grandmother of two. She will be missed by all. Fairfax Memorial Funeral Home of Fairfax, Virginia took care of Thelma.
