Harld Kirkpatrick Obituary

Harold Duane Kirkpatrick, 86, of Rural Valley, died Monday, Aug. 6, 2007, in the Armstrong County Health Center.

He was born Sept. 25, 1920, in Dayton, Pa., a son of the late Robert Earl and Hazel (Coleman) Kirkpatrick.

He was employed as a truck driver for O.K. Heilman and Preston Trucking and was a World War II veteran. He was a member of NuMine Presbyterian Church and the Log Cabin Squares.

He is survived by his wife, Thelma (Adams) Kirkpatrick, whom he married July 17, 1948; a son, Dennis Kirkpatrick and wife, Patty, of Kittanning; grandsons, Kyle and Colin Kirkpatrick, of Kittanning; two sisters, Lucille Brice, of Spring Church, and Ruth Jean Snyder and her husband, Harold, of Yatesboro; and a brother, Floyd Kirkpatrick and his wife, Grace, of Rural Valley.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Kirkpatrick.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in the CARSON/BOYER FUNERAL HOME INC., 724 Main St., Rural Valley, PA 16249, 724-783-7331, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday with Pastor Carl Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Round Top Cemetery.
