Doris Masear Obituary
Doris M. Masear, 63, of 3407 E. Jefferson Ave. died of a respiratory ailment Saturday at Iowa Lutheran Hospital. Services will at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Hamilton's i3 Funeral Home. Burial will be at Laurel Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Masear was born in Dolliver and had lived in Des Moines since 1944. She was a homemaker and a member of Union Park United Methodist Church. Survivors include her husband, Lawrence; two sons, James of Pleasant Hill and Jeffrey of Des Moines; two daughters, Jane Crees of Des Moines and Cara Reed of Beaverton, Ore.; four brothers, Francis Solmonson, Wayne Solmonson, Ernest Solmonson and Donald Solmonson, all of Estherville; a sister, Evelyn Shriner of Estherville; six grandchildren; and four step-grandchildren. Friends may call after 3 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to her church or the Arthritis Foundation.
