SHIRLEY DYER, 87, of Huntington, W.Va., joined her loving husband who awaited her in Heaven on Thursday, July 15, 2011. She was born March 2, 1924 in Wayne County, a daughter of the late Galley and Nancy Frasher. Her husband, Ted Dyer also preceded her in death along with daughter, Monzola Adkins and infant twins Joella and Keith Dyer. Shirley was a member of the Elmwood Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include her son, Dannie Dyer and wife Mary of Prichard, W.Va.; son-in-law Robert Adkins of Huntington; four grandchildren Keith Adkins and wife Robin, Jeff Adkins and wife Earlene, Dannie Dyer II and wife Phoenix, and Georgia Carrie Coronato and husband Mark; four great grandchildren, Seth Adkins and wife Sarah, Emily Adkins, Kaylin Adkins and Hannah Adkins; and one great-great grandson, Grady Cole Adkins, all of Huntington.
Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 19, 2011 at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home with Pastors Rick Glass and Manfred Langer officiating. Burial will follow in Community Memorial Gardens.
