A resident of Baton Rouge, she died at 9:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 24, 2003, at her residence. She was 85 and a native of Ascension Parish.

Visiting was at Rabenhorst Funeral Home and at St. Louis King of France Catholic Church until religious service at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, conducted by the Rev. Maynard Hurst. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory.

Survived by her husband, Woodrow W. DeLaune; two daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda DeLaune Brown and Bruce Edwin Brown and Iris DeLaune Troxclair and Donald Joseph Troxclair; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Paul Wayne DeLaune, and Steve Charles DeLaune and Patricia Schneblen DeLaune; a sister, Elvira "Tootsie" Parent Broussard; two brothers, Cleve Parent and wife Mae, and Evert Parent and wife Heidi; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; brothers-in-law, Leonard, Henry, Benjamin F. and Ray J. DeLaune; and sisters-in-law, Miriam Graves and husband Florence DeLaune, and Lilly Belle D. Hernandez.

Preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Earline LeBlanc; and a grandson, Douglas DeLaune. Pallbearers will be Matthew and Timothy Brown, Chris DeLaune, Donnie Troxclair, Steve DeLaune Jr. and Darren DeLaune.

She was a member of St. Louis King of France Catholic Church. Memorial donations may be made to Trinity Hospice of Baton Rouge, 5647 Superior Drive, Baton Rouge, LA 70816.
