Woodrow Wilson DeLaune, a retired Exxon USA employee with more than 37 years of service, died at 1:15 p.m. Sunday, March 25, 2007, at the Butterfly Wing of Baton Rouge Hospice. He was 90, a native of Hope Villa and a resident of Baton Rouge.

Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., with a wake service. Visiting at St. Louis King of France Catholic Church until Mass of Christian Burial, with the Rev. Jack Nutter, celebrant. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory.

He is survived by four children, Paul Wayne DeLaune and very special friend, Rosie Perez, Iris Ann DeLaune Troxclair and husband Donald, Steve Charles DeLaune and wife Pat Schnebelen DeLaune and Brenda Marie DeLaune Brown and husband, Bruce Edwin Brown; three brothers, Henry DeLaune, Ray DeLaune and wife Mary, and B.F. DeLaune and wife Nell; three sisters, Florence DeLaune, Miriam Graves and husband Herb, and Lillie Belle Hernandez; 13 grandchildren, Steve Jr., Tonya, Darren, Stacie, Chris, Cathy, Cindy, Connie, Matthew, Timothy, Aimee, Carol and Don Jr.; 15 great-grandchildren, Dalton, Leighton, Kara, Darren Jr., Landon, Jarred, Gage, Bret, Bailie, Joshua, Justin, Jessica, Lauren, Jenay and Destiny; two brothers-in-law, Cleve Parent and wife Willow Mae, and Evert Parent and wife Heidi; sister-in-law, Ina Mae DeLaune; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Lois Parent DeLaune; parents, Tom and Esther Perdue DeLaune; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Paul and Melodie Parent; grandson, Douglas DeLaune; brothers, Leonard and McBernie Delaune; sisters-in-law, Earline Parent LeBlanc, Elvira Parent Broussard and Yvonne and Laverne DeLaune; and brothers-in-law, Harry Hernandez, Roy LeBlanc and Lloyd Broussard.

He was a member of St. Louis King of France Church. Very special thanks to the staff of Hospice of Baton Rouge for their wonderful care. Their compassion and thoughtfulness is greatly appreciated by the family.
