Death Summons Mrs. Steve Bauer

Mrs. Steve Bauer, nee Christina Thoma, formerly of this city, died at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Norman Bauer, Milwaukee, on Tuesday evening, April 5 after a lingering illness. Funeral services will be conducted at the Techtman-Myrhum Funeral Home, West Bend, at 9 a.m. and at Holy Angels Church at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, April 9. Father Rayner Hausmann will officiate and burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Friday and the Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m.
Mrs. Bauer was born in the town of West Bend on April 9, 1878 and lived in that township all of her life with the exception of the last few years when she resided with her children. For many years she and her husband operated the tavern located south of West Bend, which is now operated by Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Forester.
Mr. and Mrs. Bauer were married at Holy Angels Church, West Bend on November 7, 1900. He preceded her in death on August 26, 1940. They were the parents of four children, two of whom survive, Norman of Milwaukee and Mrs. Aleda Koller, Rt.5, West Bend. Further surviving are three grandchildren and a great-grandchild and a sister, Rose Thoma of Slinger.
Mrs. Bauer was a charter member of the Women’s Catholic Order of Forrester’s of Holy Angels Church.
