He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Carolyn Pounds Armistead; his sons and daughters-in-law, Ben Selmor and Tina Berry Armistead and Doug Pounds and Anna Breen Armistead; five grandsons, Jeff, Kerry, Doug, Will and Ben; five great grandchildren, Steed, Hayden, Blair, Hope, and Ben IV; two sisters, Miss Cecelia Armistead of Atlanta and Mrs. Valda Pirkle of Aiken, SC; and sister-in-law, of Norcross. Funeral services will be held Sunday, 4 p.m., at Decatur First United Methodist Church, Dr. Tommy Green, Bishop Bevel Jones, and Dr. Daniel Armistead officiating. Interment Decatur Cemetery. Members of the Keystone Class, the Paty Class and The Choir Boys will serve as honorary escorts. Those desiring may send contributions to either The Methodist Children's Home, 500 Columbia Dr., Decatur, GA 30030 or Decatur First United Methodist Church, 300 E.
