Josephine E. Soren, age 73, passed away on October 25, 2007, after a courageous battle with an extended illness. She was born in Ferndale, WA on September 12, 1934 to Joseph and Jane (Church) Wyngaert. Following high school, Josephine worked at the cannery, Kelly Farquhar Foods, where she met her future husband, Dewey Soren. On April 1, 1960, she married Dewey and they spent the next 47 years together. Josephine enjoyed crocheting, growing beautiful flowers, traveling and spending time with family. Josephine will be greatly missed by her husband, Dewey; children: Chris (Ana) Soren, Kathy (Chad) Chambers, Sherry (Blake) Van Fleet, Steve Soren, and Debbie Soren; brother Louis Wyngaert (Darlene); sisters-in-law: Fran Wyngaert, Dianne Wyngaert and Margaret Wyngaert; grandchildren: Katy, Alexa, Zach, Calvin, Luke, Victoria, Crystal, Christina, Gus, and Jacob; great-grandchildren: Trafton and Noah; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceeded in death by her parents; brothers: Edward Wyngaert, John Wyngaert and James Wyngaert; and daughter Shirley Schmidt. Special thanks to the nurses and staff at the Christian Health Care Center who so lovingly cared for mom during her brief stay. A Memorial Service is planned for Tuesday, October 30 at 11:00 AM at Moles Family Funeral Home, in downtown Ferndale.
