Shirley W. Forrest, 77, of McComb, MS went to be with the lord on December 18, 2013 at Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center.
Visitation will be Friday evening at Jones Family Funeral Services from 5:00 to 8:00 PM and will continue Saturday from 10:00 AM until funeral service at 11:00 AM at the Funeral Home. Dr. Ken Kirk will officiate. Burial will be in Montgomery Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Forrest was born February 16, 1936 in Lincoln County, MS. She was the daughter of Jim and Laura Dickerson Woodall.
She worked at South Central Bell as a dispatcher for 27 years then worked at Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center as an Admissions Clerk at the Cardiovascular Center until her retirement. She was a member of North McComb Baptist Church. She graduated from Johnston Station High School in 1954.
Mrs. Forrest was preceded by her parents; her husband, Wendell Forrest Sr; one sister, Dorothy Pittman.
Survivors include one son, Wendell Forrest, Jr. and wife Dinea of McComb; two daughters, Dinah McCaskill and husband, Steve of McComb and Kammery Leaming and husband, Tom of St. Cloud, FL; grandchildren, Brooke Irland, Bridgette Irland, Leslie Dicken and husband, James, Lindsey Wool and husband, Michael, Landon McCaskill, Destine Forrest, Laura Stark and Michael Leaming.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to First Baptist Church of Summit.
