Douglas Bernard Fischer, age 46, of Lohn passed away July 29, 2008 at a San Angelo hospital.

He was born November 26, 1961 in Ballinger to Ivan and Carrol (Kasberg) Fischer. His father, Ivan, preceded him in death. Douglas was an excellent mechanic and worked most of his adult life at that trade.

He is survived by his son, Christopher of College Station; his mother, Carrol Fischer, and his sister, Carolyn Dodson, both of Veribest; and four brothers, Steve Fischer of Pear Valley, Gary Fischer of Veribest, David Fischer of Port Aransas, and Robert Fischer of Veribest. Also surviving are nephews, Kyle, D.J., Landon, and Justin; nieces, Stephanie, Denise, Robynn, and Traccy; and one great-nephew, Dalton Joe Fischer.

Rosary will be recited Wednesday, July 30 at 7:00 p.m. at Lange Funeral Home in Ballinger. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 31 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Olfen with Msgr. Benedict Zientek and Fr. Bhaskar Morugudi officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Boniface Cemetery.
