JOHN LAHAYNE
Services for John LaHayne, 83, of 671 Jefferson, Gary, a native of Crocker, will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Snyder Funeral home, 5746 Hohman, Hammond. Burial will be in Robbins cemetery, Portage.
He was killed Sunday in an auto crash near Lake Vllage in Newton county. Also killed was his landlady, Mrs. Zoe Hudson, 80.
LaHayne had lived in Gary since 1943. He was an employe of Burns Funeral home.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Thomas Walstra of Chesterton, and Mrs. Lewis Lenburg of Godfrey, ILL; two sons, John A. in the US army in Alaska, and Eldon of Calumet City, ILL.; six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and four sisters, Mrs. Edwin Jentzen of Crocker, Mrs. Fred Shoup of Flint, MI.; Mrs. Warren Scott of Detroit, and Mrs. Lorena Zimmerman of Valparaiso.
