ALEX TOWSON DEAD.
Alex Towson, one of Knox City oldest citizens passed away Tuesday, after a lingering illness due largely to old age. His remains were brought to this place where they were started in the hearse of J. T. Coder, for Newark for burial, but owing to the bad condition of the roads the large auto hearse broke a part of the mechanism just south of town and it was necessary to pull it back to town by horse power. Lloyd Poor, the carrier on the Newark star route, was then pressed into service and took the remains the remainder of the trip in his auto truck. The frost had left the around in spots and where these were hid the vehicles dropped to the hubs.
