Jo received her education in Sutton, Nebraska and graduated from Sutton (NE.) High School in 1951, after an 18 month delay due to tuberculosis. On May 18, 1952, she married Richard Chandler at the Federated Church in Sutton, Nebraska and their marriage was soon blessed with their three children. "Jo" lived in Sutton, Nebraska for the majority of her life. She had a great love for people and enjoyed waitressing as her employment until retirement. Her favorite pastimes included gardening, canning, crocheting, sewing, being with her family and grandchildren. She was a member of Hope Reformed church in Sutton, Nebraska.
Survivors are: brother, Richard Maser of Springfield, Oregon and family; sister-in-law, Avis King of Phoenix, Arizona and family; daughters, Linda Hansen and husband Greg of Omaha, Nebraska and Kim Van Dyke of Kansas City, Missouri; son, Kenny Chandler of Sutton, Nebraska; grandchildren, Matt Hansen of Omaha, Nebraska, Clint Hansen of Omaha, Nebraska, Chandler and husband Raoul Santiago of Kansas City, Missouri, Jordan and husband Jake Chambers of Grandview, Missouri, Katlyn Chandler of Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin, Karli and husband Will Talley of Merrimac, Wisconsin and Kara Chandler of Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin; great grandsons, Harlan Talley; Joash Santiago; Cohen Chambers and a host of family and friends.
Jo was proceeded in death by: parents, Carl and Leontena "Tena" Maser; husband, Richard Chandler; sister-in-law, Joyce Maser and son-in-law, Wayne Van Dyke.
Interment was in Sutton Cemetery, Sutton, Nebraska.
