He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict and Vietnam War. He worked as a Corrections Counselor for the California Department of Corrections for 20 years.
He leaves behind a children, Adrian Peters and Renee Anderson and her husband Andree;his grandchildren, Michael, Rachael, Rashawn and Devin; brothers and sisters, James Peters and wife, Lewis Peters and Leedia Fourgerousse.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Orange and Mary Peters and by his sister Mary Peters Olley.
Graveside Services with Military honors were held at Sonoma Veterans Cemetery on Wednesday, October 26, 2005
