Fannie had lived in the area since she was 14 years old. She had worked for Dixon farms in Munith for 30 years and retired from Chelsea Industries after 10 years.
She enjoyed quilting, birds, gospel music, gardening, and flowers. On October 23, 1947 she married Henry Castle in Kentucky and he preceded her in death on January 25, 1997.
Surviving are her children: James (Ruth) Castle of Leslie, Henry Castle Jr. of Fitchburg, Robert (Debra) Castle of Fitchburg, Loretta (Dave) Sherfield of Coldwater, Donald Castle of Fitchburg, and John (Debbie) Castle of Bunker Hill; 18 grandchildren and 22 great-grand children; four sisters: Goldie Wagar of Jackson, Rosie (Mark) Blair of Jackson, Maggie Hyden of Alabama, and Bonnie (Russell) Henn of Michigan Center; one daughter-in-law, Mary Castle of Grass Lake; and numerous nieces and nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by three children: daughter Norma Munn and infant twin Bobbie Jean Castle, and son Chris Castle; and siblings: brothers Joe, James, Clarence, and Carew Jr., and sisters Patty May, Doris Jones, and Etta Marie Smith.
A Funeral Service was held on Thursday, December 19, 2013, at Jeruel Baptist Church, Munith, with Pastor Robert Castle officiating.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Eaton Community Palliative Care Facility or Jeruel Baptist Church.
