Funeral services for Mrs. Bessie Margaret Aker Armbrister, age 94, of Route 1, Max Meadows, who died Sunday in the Wythe County Community Hospital, were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Olive Branch United Methodist Church with the Rev. Larry Williams and the Rev. Ewing Kidd officiating. Interment followed in the Olive Branch cemetery.
She was the widow of James H. Armbrister and a member of the Olive Branch United Methodist Church.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Roy (Lutie) Grimes, Mrs. Frank (Marjorie) Alley, both of Max Meadows, and Mrs. Lee Olin (Betty) Boye of Oak Ridge, Tenn.; two sons, Luther F. Armbrister of Wytheville and Herman Armbrister of Max Meadows; eighteen grandchildren and twenty-three great grandchildren also survive.
The family request for those who wish to make contributions to the Dr. Victor S. Armbrister Scholarship Fund, Emory and Henry College, Emory.
