CLAUDE E. HAYNES, 72, Fairview, Mo., died Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2005, at St. Johns ER in Joplin following a sudden illness.

Mr. Haynes was born Nov. 4, 1932, in Wheaton, Mo., and was a lifelong area resident. He served in the U.S. Army from 1953 to 1955, and was a lifelong farmer. He was a member of the Prosperity Baptist Church.

Claude and Joan Akin were married on Jan. 19, 1954, in Wheaton. She survives.

Additional survivors include two children, Kendall Haynes and wife, Tammy, of Fairview, and Ellen Frankey and husband, Rick, of Neosho, Mo.; five brothers, Melvin Haynes and wife, Betty, of Wheaton, Bill Haynes and wife, Edna, of Monett, Mo., Darril Haynes and wife, Esther, of Fairview, Wesley Haynes and wife, Carolyn, of Wheaton, and Gary Haynes and wife, Sally, of Broken Arrow, Okla.; five sisters, Frieda Kite and husband, Gilbert, of Carthage; Joyce Akin and husband, Louis, of Neosho, Veva Lee and husband, Bill, of Cassville, Mo., Wylene Clouse and husband, Robert, of Fordland, Mo., and Carolyn Brattin and husband, Charles, of Cassville; four grandchildren, Jennifer Kibler and husband, Dustin, of Neosho, Kathryn Marion and husband, Michael, of Neosho, Joel Haynes, of Neosho, and Jessica Haynes, of Fairview; and three great- grandchildren, Jonathan Haynes and Reagan and Lucas Kibler.

Services will be Saturday, Oct. 22, at 10 a.m. at the Clark Funeral Home Chapel in Granby, Mo. Pastor George Gore will officiate. Burial will be in the Rocky Comfort Cemetery and pallbearers will be Joel Haynes, Dustin Kibler, Michael Marion, Jim Haynes, Mark Akin and Scott Laird. Friends may call at the Clark Funeral Home, Granby, on Friday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and the family will receive friends Friday evening from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Contributions in memory of Mr. Haynes may be made to the Missouri Baptist Childrens Home in care of Clark Funeral Home.

Arrangements are under the direction of Clark Funeral Home, Granby.
