Passing of Mrs. R. I. Rumetsch in Bathany Aux. Hospital
A resident of Alberta for the past 52 years, Mrs. Rose Ilean Rumetsch passed away at the Bethany Auxiliary Hospital, Camrose, June 23, following a lengthy illness. She was 78 years of age.
Mrs. Rumetsch was born in Barton County, Missouri, September 17, 1887, the daughter of John Henry and Angeline Clovis. She received her education in the U.S.A. and later married Jacob Rumetsch.
Mr. and Mrs. Rumetsch came to Stettler in 1914 and settled on a farm in the Red Willow district where they farmed for many years. Mrs. Rumetsch was predeceased by her husband in 1942, and for the past several years she made her home at both Camrose and Stettler.
Deceased is survived by two brothers, Charles Arthur Clovis of Calgary and John Bartlett Clovis of Liberal, Missouri; one niece, Mrs. Maxine Rosnow of Calgary, and four nephews, Lester and James Clovis of Calgary, William Clovis, Saskatoon, and Roy Clovis of Fort St. John, B.C.; also several nieces and nephews in the U.S.A. Besides her husband, Mrs. Reumetsch was predeceased by an infant son, Herald, in 1910.
Funeral services were held at the Red Willow United Church, June 27, Rev. J. T. Wood officiating.
