According to that source, he sailed on the following vessels: the schooner Coral (1846-1848, after his brother Welcome gave it up); the schooner Henry Dunster (1854 and 1859); the brig Marshall Dutch (1858-1860); the brig Harriet H. McGilvery (1863); the brig Manson (1867-1869); the brig L.M. Merritt (1872); and the brig Stephen Bishop (1872-1877).
He was Captain of the brig Stephen Bishop when he died and was buried at sea.
