Reed was born April 26, 1909,
to Charles and Emma (Wilharm)
Kelsey in Tripoli. He received his
education in Tripoli. He married
Margaret Aders Kelsey on Dec. 15,
1932 in Galena, Ill. He was employed
by the Iowa Canning Company of
Grinnell, Atlantic, Sac City, and
Storm Lake. In 1965, he began
working as General Manager of the
newly formed corporation, Ferma
Gro. He continued as plant manager
until his retirement in 1977. He was
a member of the Storm Lake Church
Of Christ where he served as deacon
and on many other committes.
Preceding him in death were
his two daughters - Lola Yon and
Diane Kelsey; five sisters: and three
brothers.
Survivors include his wife; two
sons - Larry Kelsey and Lyle
Kelsey; sisters - Mrs. William
(Marie) Hurmence, Tripoli: Bervie
Kelsey. Waveriy: six grandchildren:
and two great-grandchildren.
