SMITH, Candace S. "Candy", 44, of Springfield, passed away Thursday, December 12, 2013 in The Ohio State Medical Center. She was born September 5, 1969 in Springfield the daughter of David J. "Jeff" and Carol (Snyder) Adams. Candy was an R.N. at Springfield Regional Medical Center for 15 years where she was recently awarded the Cameo Care Nursing Award. She greatly loved her job and had a passion for being an R.N. She was a member of First Christian Church, had been active in 4-H, was an avid traveler and camper and loved her dogs and cats. Survivors in addition to her parents, include her husband of 25 years, Allen Smith; 3 children, all of Springfield; one brother and sister-in-law, of Heath, Ohio; father-in-law; brother-in-law; one nephew and one niece. She was preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Linda K. Smith. Friends may call from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Monday in the CONROY FUNERAL HOME. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday in the funeral home with Pastor Craig Grammar officiating. Burial will follow in Vale Cemetery.
