Catherine Beury, 69, of Primrose, Cass Township, died Saturday at Seton Manor.
Born in Heckscherville, she was a daughter of the late John and Mary Stetz Nebroskie.
She attended St. Kieran Parochial School and was a 1962 graduate of Cass Township High School.
She worked for the Library of Congress early in her career. Locally, she served as a start-up manager for Florian Foods at JDM and also worked for Turkey Hill Minit Markets and Stop-N-Go.
She was a member of St. Matthew the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, Minersville.
Catherine was preceded in death by a grandson, Daniel Collin Purcell, in 2001; seven brothers, Francis, James, Frank, Raymond, John, Edward and Joseph Nebroskie; two sisters, Jean Nebroskie and Irene Samay.
Surviving are her husband, Howard Beury Sr.; four children, Howard Beury Jr. and his fiancée, Debbie Reiter, Las Vegas, Michael Beury Sr. and his wife, Tracy, Pismo Beach, Calif., Angela Lucas and her husband, Randy, Lavelle, and Jeanie Purcell and her husband, Henry, Minersville; eight grandchildren, Howard Beury III, Amanda Beury, Michael Beury Jr., John Matulevich Jr., Marlena Purcell, Madolyn Purcell, Dean Purcell and Marilyn Purcell; four sisters, Mary Smith and her husband, Albert, Pottsville, Dorothy Majcher, Pottsville, Eleanor Ryan, Pottsville, and Theresa Bassininsky and her husband, Michael, Minersville; nieces and nephews.
Interment in St. Stanislaus Kostka No. 2 Cemetery, Branch Township. Dutcavich Funeral Home, 200 Sunbury St., Minersville, has charge of arrangements.
