Lewis Hood Norris Funeral services for Lewis Hood Norris, 72, of Bigler Ave., Clearfield, who died Thursday,May 20, 1993, at the Clearfield Hospital, will be held at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc., Curwensville, on Sunday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Dr. Raymond D. Fravel officiating.
Interment will be in the Bloomington Cemetery, Curwensville R.D.
Friends will be received at the funeral home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today, and from 10 a.m. to the time of services on Sunday.
Military honors will be accorded at the cemetery by the John Lewis Shade American Legion Post No. 6, Clearfield.
Born Sept. 25, 1920 in Pike Township, Curwensville R.D., he was the son of Robert and Elva (Lord) Norris.
Mr. Norris was a carpenter and construction worker and was retired from Piper Aircraft.
He was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II, a former Justice of the Peace in Pike Township, and currently was a Notary Public in Clearfield Borough.
He was a United Methodist by faith; a member of the State Association of Notaries, and of the Fraternal Order of Eagles No. 812, Clearfield.
Mr. Norris married the former Helen Pyle on April 6, 1947 in Curwensville, who survives, along with eight children: Mrs. Thomas (Mary Helen) Knepp of Covington, Ohio, Nancy Louise Norris and James Mark Norris, both of Clearfield, Mrs. Don (Ruth Ann) Bousum of Holidaysburg, Robert John Norris and Brenda Lee Norris, both of Selinsgrove, and Lewis Irvin Norris and Michael Richard Norris, both at home; nine grandchildren;, two great-grandchildren; and one brother, Raymond O. Norris of Olympia, Wash,
