Timothy was a ship Captain and he drowned in the harbor during a storm.

He captained a passenger ship in the New England area.

Timothy Anglin was born in Cork City, Ireland in 1818. He emigrated to the U.S. about 1842 with his wife, Mary Looney (1823-1901)and oldest son, Charles, who was born in England in 1840. Timothy listed his occupation as a mariner.
Their children were Charles(1840-?); William(1842-1867, a Civil War veteran (17th U.S.Infantry -wounded at the 2nd Battle of Manassas); Margaret (1848-1917) (Sister Mary Scholastica; John Edward (1850-1905), winner of the Congressional Medal of Honor while serving as a cabin boy in the Civil War; and, Daniel (1858-1942.
Timothy died in a boating accident in Portland Harbor in June 1870, when his small craft was capsized and he with two others drowned.

His son John became a well known sailing Captain in Maine waters.
