In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, 5 sisters and 3 brothers.
She was a 1940 Waveland High School graduate. She was a member of Browns Valley Missionary Baptist church, 50-year member of Athens Chapter of Order of the Eastern Star, member of Psi Iota Chi sorority, and a volunteer teacher friend at Hoover and Hose schools.
She was an office assistant for 24 years for eye Drs. Alexander and Ludwig. After retirement, she worked part-time at Powers-Priebe Funeral Home.
Service 2pm Tuesday December 17 at Powers-Priebe Funeral Home with Rev. Ken Green officiating. Visitation noon until time of service.
