Suggested edit: — Translation: "Around Easter Monday Mrs Joseph Geris passed away in the Lord after only four days of illness. The deceased was born in Germany 69 years ago, when she came to this country as a 2 1/2 year old child with parents who settled in Michigan and eleven years later made Minnesota their home where they settled in Richmond. There she married Joseph Geris, with whom she moved into a homestead not far from Spring Hill, and lived there until five years ago, at which time the family moved to Melrose.

"The following children mourn their death with their father: Mrs. Cecilia Gillitzer and George Winter from Spring Hill, Mrs. Louis Pung from St. Martin, Miss Katharina still at home, Mrs. Joseph Jonas from St. Martin and Franz and Joseph Geris from Superior, Wis., and in their heartbreak share her Sisters: the women M.U. Brown of Wahpeton, ND, Peter Jacobs of Superior, Wis., and her brothers: U. Mehr of Richmond and T. Mehr of St. Martin.

"The funeral took place at Spring Hill. May the deceased rest in peace! "
