 At his home in Thorp, Clark County, Wis., last week Thursday, during the noon hour, Wilhelm Darge died from peritonitis, at 64 years of age. The all too soon departed one, was born in Kekoskee, Dodge County, Wis., June 8, 1854. He married Miss Anna Ende of Horicin in 1877, who with five children survive; Otto and Alma, the last mentioned married to Heinrich Preuss of Rapidan, Blue Earth Co., Minn.; Louis Darge, LeRoy, as well as Willie and Linda Darge at home. He also leaves behind three brothers, Ferdinand Darge and Hermann Darge, Good Thunder, Blue Earth, Co., Minn. and Friedrich Darge of Mayville, Wis.; as well as one sister, Mrs. Carl Sohre of Good Thunder, Minnesota. One son Eddie Darge died five years ago. His elderly mother, Mrs. Ferdinand C. Darge, still lives in Good Thunder, Minn. After marrying his wife in 1877, they moved to Blue Earth Co., Minn., where they lived 23 years. In 1900 the family rese4ttled in Thorp, Clark Co., Wis. Funeral services occurred Sunday afternoon, with Pastor Schrien presiding. The following relatives not from the vicinity attended the funeral: Mr. & Mrs. Friedrich Darge, Carl Bartsch, Sr. and Eduard A. Bartsch of Mayville; Mrs. Franz Holz, Louis Darge and wife of the Town of LeRoy, Dodge Co. Wis.; Ferdinand Darge, Hermann Darge, Mrs. Carl Sohre, Mrs. Heinrich Preuss, Mr. & Mrs. Otto Darge, all of Blue Earth Co., Minnesota. We express our heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved. May the all too early departed one rest in peace.

William Darge died at his home in the town of Worden, Clark County, Wis. on Thursday May 21, 1908, of paralysis of the stomach, after an illness of two days. Mr. Darge was born at Kekoskee, Dodge Co., Wis., on June 8, 1854. In 1877 he was united in marriage with Miss Anna Ende of Horicon, Wis., who, together with five children, Louis, Mrs. Alma Preuss, William Jr., Otto and Miss Linda, his aged mother, three brothers and one sister, survive him.


After his marriage in 1877 he moved to Blue Earth Co., Minn., where he lived on a farm for 23 years. In 1900 he came with his family to the town of Worden, south of Thorp, where he had since made his home.


The funeral took place on Sunday last from the Reseburg Lutheran Church, Rev. B. H. Schrein officiating, sixty-four teams loads with relatives and friends, following the remains to their last resting place in the Reseburg Cemetery.


Those relatives present at the funeral from a distance were Herman Darge, Ferd Darge, Mr. and Mrs. Otto Darge, Mrs. Charles Sohre, Mrs. Henry Preuss, all of Good Thunder, Minn., Charles Bartsch, Ed Bartsch, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Darge, Mayville, Wis., Mrs. Frank Holz, LeRoy, Wis., and Mr. and Mrs. Louis Darge, Knowles, Wis.
