Bonnie Tappe, 87, died Sunday, Dec. 8, 2013, in Mansfield. Service: 12:30 p.m. Saturday in Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Chapel. Interment: Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 7:30 p.m. Friday at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home. Bonnie was born Aug. 16, 1926, in Bay City to Leon and Geneva Roberts. She married Fred Tappe Jr. on Sept. 30, 1943. Bonnie was a lifelong resident of Hurst, where she worked for years as a stay-at-home mom and then later at Brazil's Cleaners and Shady Oaks Cleaners. She was a faithful child of God and a fervent lover of Jesus Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred; mother, Geneva Roberts; father, Leon Douglas Roberts; sister, Mary Woolley; and brother, L.D. Roberts. Survivors: Sons, Allen Tappe and wife, Barbara, David Tappe and wife, Tammy, and Craig Tappe and wife, Melodie; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
