Mrs. Henry F. Kitz, died shortly after twelve o'clock, on Sunday afternoon, at the residence, 151 North Park avenue. She was forty-four years of age and was born in Canada. About eighteen months ago, Mrs. Kitz had an attack of grip, which developed into tuberculosis, from which she has been a great sufferer, and which was the immediate cause of her death. She was married to Mr. Henry F. Kitz, the contractor, and alderman of the Fourth ward of this city, a little more than two years ago (25 Jun 1901). Besides her husband, she leaves to mourn her loss, her father, Mr. Fred Maeckes of Canada; two sisters, Mrs. Fred Dragerl (sp); and Mrs. Henry Blankstein, of Detroit; and four brothers, John of Canada, Christopher of Detroit, Louis and Daniel of Colorado. Although a great sufferer, Mrs. Kitz manifested wonderful patience and fortitude, and was completely resigned in view of her approaching death. She was a beautiful character, and will be greatly missed by her family, and a large circle of friends. The funeral services will be held at the residence, 151 North Park avenue, on Tuesday afternoon, at two o'clock, Rev. Edward H. Smith, of the First Congregational Church, officiating. The music will be rendered by Mrs. F. H. Josslyn and Mrs. Luther Davies. The following will act as pall bearers: G S. Luscher, A. Lichienberger, William Schmid, W. D. Wallace, Eugeue Potter, and Charles Maulick.

NOTE: She married first to David E. Schrag; also father's name on Ancestry.com shows name as Maecker
