Carole J. Mischler, 69 years of age, passed away Dec. 9, 2013, at the Weymouth Health Care Center after a period of declining health. She was born in Braintree and graduated from Braintree High School, Class of 1961. She subsequently studied at Northeastern University. She was a lifelong resident of Braintree and maintained a summer home in the Schakett Community located at Newfound Lake, Bristol, N.H. She had been a supervisor for twenty years at the South Postal Annex before her retirement. Prior to working for the Postal Service, she had been an electronics technician at Sigma Instrument Company in Braintree for twenty years. Carole was he beloved daughter of the late Andrew F. Mischler and Maxine Orpha (Snyder) Mischler of Braintree. She is survived by her loving brother David A. Mischler married to Elouise Mischler of Braintree and her loving sister Laura J. Oteri married to Tony Oteri of Middleborough. She was the aunt of David C. Mischler married to Helen Mischler of Hanover, Robert M. Mischler married to Sherie Mischler of Canton, Maryellen Mischler of Braintree, Christina Oteri and Andrew Oteri both of Middleborough. Carole also had six great-nieces and nephews. A prayer service will be held at the Mortimer N. Peck-Russell Peck Funeral Home, 516 Washington Street, Braintree, Friday, Dec. 13, at 1 p.m. Burial will follow at the Braintree Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Thursday, Dec. 12, from 4-7 p.m.. Memorial donations may be sent to the Susan B. Komen for the Cure, Donor Services, P.O. Box 650309, Dallas, TX 75265-0309.
