He was the son of the late C. M. and Mary (Alexander) Gregory and the widower of the late Bertha (Pearson) Gregory.
A member of the First Baptist Church of Moore, he was employed by Fairforest Finishing Plant for 34 years and American Fast Print for 9 years.
He served in the Civilian Conservation Corps in 1939 at Camp Sitcum, Sitcum, Oregon.
Survivors include a son, Larry T Gregory of Moore; two daughters, Nancy G. Ford of Reidville, and Patsy G. Potts and husband Treavor of Gaffney; a granddaughter, Candace Knight and husband Robbie who was reared in the home; thirteen grandchildren, twenty eight great-grandchildren, and twenty great-great-grandchildren.
Mr. Gregory was predeceased by two sons, Charles S. and Donald C. Gregory; a brother, Hartwell Gregory; and three sisters, Helen McDowell, Ella Miller and Alice Lollis.
Funeral services were held at 3:00 PM Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at the First Baptist Church of Moore with Rev. David Johnson and Dr. Jim Pruitt officiating.
The family received friends 7:00 to 9:00 PM Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at Stribling Funeral Home. Interment was at Bethany Wesleyan Church Cemetery.
