Amy A. Love, 58, Claysburg, went to be with the Lord Sunday evening at UPMC Altoona.
She was born in Jersey Shore, daughter of the late Charles E. and Marthanne (Cable) Young. She was twice married, first to Dennis Hoenstine, who died in 2001. She then married Mark A. Love on June 1, 2002, at Lighthouse Independent Baptist Church, Altoona.
Surviving are her husband; six children: Ben M. Hoenstine of East Freedom, Joshua I. of East Freedom, Caleb J. at home, Levi L. of Queen, Sarah M. in Virginia and Esther S. at home; four grandchildren: Noah Hoenstine and Johanna, Aaron and Lydia Love; and a sister, Kathy L. Holsinger of Roaring Spring.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Charles D.
Amy was a graduate of Jersey Shore High School and Penn State University. She was a member of Lighthouse Independent Baptist Church, Altoona, where she served as mission secretary and also assisted with the church's ministry at Valley View Health and Rehabilitation Center and various other nursing homes.
Amy enjoyed reading and caring for animals.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 12, 2013, at Lighthouse Independent Baptist Church, Altoona, Pastor Jeffrey Hite officiating. Interment will be at Greenfield Cemetery, Kimmel Township.
The family suggests that contributions in Amy's memory be made to her church for missions.
