62 year old Sue A. Barrett of Smithville died Tuesday [May 17, 2005] at Vanderbilt University Medical Center of an extended illness. She was disabled and a member of the Prosperity Missionary Baptist Church. The funeral will be Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at DeKalb Funeral Chapel. B.J. Thomason will officiate and burial will be in the Prosperity Cemetery. She was preceded in death by her father, William Donald Apple and two brothers, William Robert and Roy Wayne Apple. She is survived by her husband, Ray Douglas Barrett of Smithville. Three daughters, Melody and her husband Ricky Guinn, Sheryl Turner Lunsford, and Angela and her husband Shawn Puckett all of Smithville. Two sons, David Lee Reynolds of Nashville and Tommy Ray and his wife Stacey Barrett of Shelbyville. Her mother, Mildred White of Ashland City. A sister, Shirley Jean and her husband Collier Robinson of Nashville. Best friend, Susan Clark of Liberty. Thirteen grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 2:00 p.m.
