HORTENSE STROUP ADCOX
1923-2012

MCKENZIE: Hortense Stroup Adcox, 88, of McKenzie, died Saturday, June 30, 2012 at her residence. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 7, 2012 at 12:00 p.m. at Brummitt-McKenzie Funeral Home with Bro. Kenny Carr officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be on Saturday, July 7, 2012 from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at Brummitt-McKenzie Funeral Home.
Mrs. Adcox was born August 23, 1923 in Henry to the late Erby Clyde and Mattye Blake Stroup. She was a homemaker and a member of Long Heights Baptist Church. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 68 ears, Loren L. Adcox, Jr.
She is survived by: two sons, Robert E. Adcox and Barton Adcox, both of McKenzie; a brother, Charles (Marian) Stroup, of Long Island, NY; one granddaughter and two step-granddaughters.
