CENTER RUTLAND - Jon T. Cole, 67, died Friday, Dec. 6, 2013, at Rutland Regional Medical Center.

He was the husband of Francine (Krysztofik) Cole.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Dec. 10, at 11 a.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church. Officiating will be the Rev. Daniel Lokanga, pastor.

Friends may call Monday, Dec. 9, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Clifford Funeral Home in Rutland.

Burial will be at a later date in Vermont Veterans Cemetery.

Contributions may be made to the Rutland County Humane Society, Stevens Road, Pittsford, VT 05763.

CENTER RUTLAND - Jon T. Cole, 67, of Center Rutland, passed away Friday morning, December 6, 2013, after a courageous battle with cancer surrounded by his family at Rutland Regional Medical Center.

He was born in Rutland, the son of Byron S. and Jennie (Lanzillo) Cole.

He attended Mount Saint Joseph Academy.

On September 30, 1967, he was married to Francine (Krysztofik) Cole of Center Rutland.

Mr. Cole served in the U.S. Army as a sergeant in Vietnam where he earned a Bronze Star award.

For over 32 years he was employed as a firefighter for the City of Rutland.

Survivors include his wife Francine, a son Brian Cole of Center Rutland, a daughter,Allyn Cole and fiancé Mason Wardwell and grandson Chase of Chittenden, a brother Alan Cole of Albany NY, two sisters Roberta Ryan and her husband Thomas of Albany and Wendy Small and her husband Donald of Rutland, nieces and nephews.

He is predeceased by his parents and by a sister Barbara Cole.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church.

Officiating will be Rev. Daniel Lokanga, pastor. A reception will follow.

Visiting hours will be held Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Clifford Funeral Home in Rutland.

Burial will be at a later date in Vermont Veterans Cemetery in Randolph.
