Our loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend Doris Louise Bluemel Rasband, 78 of Murray, passed away at 1:30 AM on Wednesday December 4, 2013.

Born in Rock Springs, Wyoming on January 26, 1935, to Lester James Bluemel and Anne Mathews Noble.

Doris was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served diligently in many callings and had a lasting and widespread impact on many lives. She felt her testimony and her family were her greatest possessions.

Doris was sealed to Elden D Rasband on June 7, 1954, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

She is survived by her six children; Kevin (Marie), Randall, Regan (Joy), Laron (Rebecca), Kami and Marla (Mike Murphy), 21 grandchildren, 10 great-children; and one sister, Melissa (Joe) Oefelin.
She is preceded in death by her father, mother, and two sisters, Eliza & Lois.

She was an avid seamstress and played the organ and piano. She was a meticulous journal keeper. She loved spending time completing multiple craft projects throughout her life including cross-stitching, yo-yo and puff quilts, and crows-footing blankets for both her family and friends. She was very involved in multiple service projects. She was always there to help when someone was in need.

A viewing will be held on Sunday, December 8, 2013 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Murray Memorial Mortuary, 5850 South 900 East, and then again from 10:00-11:15 AM on Monday, December 9, 2013 at the Eastridge Ward Building, 1250 East, 4800 South prior to the funeral services at 11:30 am.

Internment will be at Mountain View Memorial Estates, 3115 East 7800 South
