The 1850 census for Scott County shows a Richard Goodall, born about 1797 in England and Mary, born about 1802 in England with their children John, William, Edward, Robert, Mary, and Ann, ranging in age from 14 to 4. There is also a Richard Goodall, born about 1822 in England and his wife Miranda (Miranda Cain married Richard Goodall in 1841 in Scott Co., IL) with their children Mary J., Richard, and William M ranging in age from 8 to 6 months. Richard and Mary's children are spaced just about 2 years apart, with no gaps. Richard and Miranda's children start with an 8 year old, then skip to a 3 year old, so I'm guessing that these daughters are the children of Richard and Miranda.
