Survivors include his wife, Gladys Lewis, Stonewall; three sons, James Luther Lewis, Quitman; Randy Ray Lewis, Quitman; and James Richie, Meridian; four daughters, Myrtle Croomes, Pearline Slay, Gerline Holifield, all of Mobile, Ala.; and Jestine Prescott, Houston, Texas; two brothers, Lloyd Lewis and James L. Lewis, both of Stonewall; one sister, Rosie Odom, Stonewall; 24 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
