Our loving mother Nelda Susie Chynoweth Jolley, 77, of St. George, died Sunday, Nov. 15, 1992 in the Dixie Medical Center in St. George. She was born January 1, 1915 in Henrieville, Utah, a daughter of Harvey and Roxie Campbell Chynoweth. She married Virgil Henry Jolley, Dec. 28, 1932 in Panquitch, Utah; marriage later solemnized in the St. George LDS Temple. He died January 30, 1992. She was educated in the Henrieville and Tropic Schools and lived in Southern Utah for many years where her husband was a rancher. She moved to Benjamin in 1951 and later lived in Payson and Spanish Fork. She had recently retired to St. George. She was a member of the LDS Church and served in various positions and also served as an ordinance worker in the Provo LDS Temple. She was a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers and served in many leadership capacities. Her husband, children, and family were her life.
Survivors include six sons and four daughters; Neldon V. Jolley, Enterprise; Mrs. Ross (Marie) Barney, Spanish Fork; Harvey Henry Jolley, Payson; Dale E. Jolley, West Valley City; Mrs. George (Karel) Hill, Mt. Pleasant; Ned C. Jolley, Orem; Max L. Jolley, West Jordan; Mrs. Larry (Maxine) Rose, Woodland Hills; William C. Jolley, St. George; Mrs. Joseph Lynn (Monna Mae) Thomas, Spanish Fork; 34 grandchildren, 77 great-grandchildren; four brothers and three sisters: Leland "Bud" Chynoweth, Mexico; Mrs. Lula Moore and Ralph Chynoweth, both of Henrieville; Jack Chynoweth and Gene Chynoweth both of Tropic; Mrs. Katie Schulthies, Farmington; Mrs. Roxanna Johnson, Cannonville. She was preceded in death by one brother, Wade Chynoweth and one sister, Mrs. Lois Backwell.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Nov. 18, 1992 at 11 A.M. in the Spanish Fork 8th Ward Chapel, 1010 East 200 So., Spanish Fork. Friends may call at the Walker Mortuary in Spanish Fork, 187 So. Main, Tuesday evening 6-8 P.M. or Wednesday at the Ward Relief Society Room one hour prior to the services. Burial, Spanish Fork City Cemetery.
