Our precious mother, Robbie Jo Billings Reeves, affectionately called "Gaga" by all her family went to her Heavenly Father on Sunday, December 1, 2013 in Elgin, TX.
Gaga was born in Odell, Texas on February 17, 1727 to Daisy Jones Billings and Clarence H. Billings. She was raised in Chillicothe, Texas and graduated from Chillicothe High school in 1944 as Valedictorian in 1944.
She married O.R. (Buddy) Reeves on February 1, 1947 in Lubbock. Today they are rejoined to celebrate in Heaven.
Gaga demonstrated a true work ethic to her children during her employments with T.G. &Y and T.J. Maxx stores in Lubbock. She was a member of the Gleaners Sunday School class of Southcrest Baptist Church where she served the Lord faithfully. Her joy was listening to the choir sing, hearing Dr. David Wilson preach and going to sleep with Bro. Jerry Newman tapes. During the last two years, she lived with her daughter, Darla, who provided gentle loving, faithful care for which her family is eternally grateful.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children: Darla McCullough-Lujan and husband, Joel of Elgin, Roger Reeves and wife Patricia and Dennis Reeves and wife Nancy all of Lubbock; grandchildren: Jennifer Morris, Patrick McCullough, both of greater Austin, Danya Cheek and husband, Thomas of El Paso, Kelsee Reeves of Lubbock, Shawn Reeves and wife Lynette, Kyle Reeves and wife Wendy, Brent Reeves and wife Carame, all of Lubbock; 10 great-grandchildren: Andrew Morris, Dayden Cheek, Madelyn Reeves, Ella Reeves, Jillian Reeves, Brooke Reeves, Archer Reeves, Michael Reeves and Alimaquel Reeves; sisters, Ollie (Teddy) Spraberry, Frankie Kingery and husband Less; brother: Jimmy Billings and wife, Linda; sister-in-law, Jean Billings; and a number of nieces and nephews.
