Obituary; Burial Today for Adalyn Moore
Adalyn Moore, 81. of 920 North Main, Brookfield, died Sunday morning at Pershing memorial Hospital 20 April 1980.
Services were held at the Bowden Rhodes Funeral Chapel with the Rev. John Meyer officiating. Burial was in the Rose Hill Cemetery.
Adalyn, daughter of Charles B. and Anna Lee (McClanahan) Faris was born Nov. 11, 1898 in Caruthuersville.
On June 15, 1935 married Harold J. Moore in St. Louis.
She was preceded in death by one sister and three brothers.
Mrs. Moore was a member of the Grace Episcopal Church, Brookfield; Ag Chapter of PEO; Pi Beta Phi Sorority; Hanna Hull Chapter DAR, and Mutual Improvement Club.
She had received the Bishop's Cross for service to the church and the diocese of Western Missouri.
She was a graduate of Linwood College, St. Charles, and journalism school, University of Missouri. She was the Brookfield Service Unit Chairman for the Girl Scouts and was on the board of directors for the Becky Thatcher Area.
