Obituary:
Funeral services for Stella Zulkoski, 80, of Utica, formerly of the Burwell and Ord area, are Thursday, June 27, at 1:30 p.m. at the Congregational Church in Burwell, with the Rev. Blair Kirkpatrick officiating. Robyn Anderson is the organist and Keith Kovanda is the soloist. Pallbearers are Steve Paswaters, Bradley Paswaters, Mark Miller, Mark Duneman and Gary VanSickle. Burial will be in the Cottonwood Cemetery at Burwell. Ord Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Zulkoski died June 24, 1996 at the Sunderman Nursing Home in Seward. She was born September 12, 1915 at Burwell to Charles and Amanda (McDaniel) Parker, She was raised on the family farm northwest of Burwell. She attended rural Garfield County School and Burwell High School.

She married Orville Otto Miller in 1933 at Bartlett. They farmed northeast of Burwell for 23 years before they moved to a farm at Downing, MO. Two years later, in 1948, they moved back to Burwell. Mr. Miller died in 1951. She then moved to Ord with her children and she worked at the Ord Hospital. She also attended school to become a certified nurse.

In February of 1952, she married Bill Zulkoski. They lived in Ord for several years before moving to Seward. At Seward, she worked in a medical clinic for Dr. Standard and Dr. Hill. She retired in 1968. They then moved to Shelby and in 1970 they moved to Burwell, living there until moving to Utica in 1983. Mr. Zulkoski died November 10, 1995.

Survivors include two sons, Darrel Miller of Omaha and Gale Miller of Utica; one daughter, Kayla (Mrs. Stan) Hoover of Lincoln; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Lean Jablonski of Ord.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, three sisters and one brother.
