MURPHYSBORO -- Mr. Cecil G. Trainer died at 2:17 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2002, at the St. Joseph's Memorial Hospital in Murphysboro.

He was born at Wolf Lake, the son of George S. and Mina Hawkins Trainer.

He is survived by two sisters, Jewel Choate of Murphysboro, Wanda and husband Peyton Kunce of Murphysboro; a niece, Sharon Kay Rivenbach of Unionville, Ind.; four nephews, Curtis Lee Trainer of Jasper, Ind., Stephen and C.P. Kunce, both of Murphysboro, and Patrick Myers of Jonesboro; other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, one nephew, Fred Choate, and two sisters.

Mr. Trainer was a member of the Galilee Baptist Church near Wolf Lake, a veteran of World War II, and was an educator and retired principal from the South School at Des Plaines for over 17 years.

Graveside funeral services for Mr. Cecil G. Trainer were on Friday, Sept. 27, at the Walker Hill Cemetery at Grand Tower, with the Rev. Joe Aldridge officiating. Burial followed in the cemetery.
