Doris Myers was born October 16, 1909 in Wolf Lake to George and Mina (Hawkins) Trainer. Her siblings include Dr. Curtis L. Trainer of Unionville, Indiana, Cecil G. Trainer of Morton Grove, Jewell Choate of Moline and Wanda Kunce of Murphysboro.
She married L. Cecil Myers on December 28, 1940. He survives as well as one son, George Patrick Myers of Wolf Lake, Illinois.
Mrs. Myers received a bachelor's degree and master's degree from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. She taught in Union County for 45 years. She was a member of Galilee Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school for many years.
Mrs. Myers died at the age of 82 in St. John's Mercy Hospital in St. Louis.
