Earl Abram (121186603)

Suggested edit: Earl Lee Abram, 76 year old White Oak resident, went to be with the Lord on Monday, December 2, 2013, with his loving and devoted family at his bedside. Earl was born in Nowata County on December 31, 1936 to Allie Carl Abram and Mittie Mae Johnson Abram. As jobs in the area were hard to find, Earl and his brother J.C. Abram went to Idaho to stay with an uncle, hoping to find work.

Earl eventually made his home in Idaho and married Catherine Claire Miller Abram on October 13, 1969 in Jerome Idaho; they raised three daughters and moved back to Oklahoma in 1984. Family meant everything to Earl. He loved taking his family hunting, camping and fishing, taking them to church, telling them stories, watching his grandkids play sports, and anything else that brought his family together.

Earl was a man of many talents; he was an excellent welder and mechanic. He was an avid hunter and fisherman; he hunted bear, mountain lion, raccoon, squirrels, and wild hogs. In fact in 1977 he held the record for the biggest bear taken in Idaho. Not too long after Earl and his family moved to Oklahoma, he started raccoon hunting with a young kid, who would become his third son in-law. Earl also loved the Lord and was a valued member of Bunker Hill Baptist Church; he was baptized in Lighting Creek as a child.
