He is the son of Joel (LeRoy) and Barbara Henderson, formerly of Nezperce, Idaho.
Joe was born May 22, 1951 in Cottonwood and spent his youth growing up in Nezperce, graduating from Nezperce High School in 1969.
He attended the University of Idaho, and was affiliated with Delta Chi fraternity.
Following graduation from the University, Joe joined the family farm operation.
He resided in the Lewiston-Clarkston area until recently moving to Pullman, WA.
Throughout his life, he'd been an avid music and movie buff; in his earlier years he enjoyed restoring old cars, snow skiing and boating on the Snake River.
Joe was preceded in death by his father, LeRoy; and is survived by mother, Barbara and step-father, Bill Powers (Kennewick, WA); sister, Debbie (Seattle); brothers, Monte (Boise) and Scott (North Dakota); step-brother, Greg Powers (Kennewick), step-sister, Liz Cito (Seattle), and a number of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and cousins.
A memorial service will be planned for a later date. Kimball Funeral Home of Pullman, WA is caring for the family.
